The WVU academic calendar for 2022-2023 has important dates, schedules, and deadlines for the Fall, Spring, and Summer. The Fall semester at West Virginia University lasts 16 weeks, the Spring semester lasts 8 weeks, and the Summer semester lasts 12 weeks. MayMester, which is WVU’s pre-summer option, is a 3-week accelerated learning programme that takes place entirely online.

The Fall 2022 move-in dates for WVU are Thursday, August 11, 2022, through Saturday, August 13, 2022. Every day, there will be time slots for all of the dorms. Check your WVU MIX email for information on how to sign up.
On Monday, August 15, 2022, people can sign up for Fall 2022.
Fall 2022 classes at WVU On-Campus begin on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. The first day of school.
The last day to register, add new courses, change sections, change pass/fail, and audit is Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
Monday, September 5, 2022, is Labor Day.
Grades for the midterm check are due by noon on Tuesday, October 6, 2022.
From Friday, October 7, 2022, to Sunday, October 9, 2022, WVU will be on fall break.
Tuesday, November 8, 2022, is the day of the general election. College is Closed.
Tuesday, November 15, 2022 is the last day to drop a class or leave the university.
From Saturday, November 19, 2022, to Sunday, November 27, 2022, WVU will be on fall break and Thanksgiving break.
Thursday, December 8, 2022, is the last day of school for Fall 2022.
Friday, December 9, 2022, is the day to study for finals.
From Monday, December 12, 2022, to Friday, December 16, 2022, there will be final exams.
Graduation will take place on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
On Saturday, December 17, 2022, winter break starts.

On Friday, January 6, 2023, people can sign up for Spring 2023.
On-campus classes at WVU will start on Monday, January 9, 2023. Classes start in the spring.
The last day to register, add new courses, change sections, change pass/fail, and audit is January 13, 2023.
Monday, January 16, 2023, is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Grades for the midterm check are due on March 3, 2023.
From March 11 to March 19, 2023, WVU will be on spring break.
The last day to drop a class and the last day to leave the university is March 24, 2023.
April 7, 2023, is Spring Holiday.
The last day of school for Spring 2023 is April 28.
From May 1, 2023, to May 5, 2023, the last exams will be given.
From May 12 to May 14, 2023, WVU will have its Commencement or graduation.
