Check out the WSU academic calendar for 2022-2023 to find out about important dates, holidays, schedules, and due dates. The academic year at Washington State University is split into three parts: the Summer, Fall, and Spring semesters.

WSU academic calendar fall 2022

The WSU fall 2022 calendar has dates and deadlines that are important for the academic year 2022-2023.

The weekend of August 13 and 14, 2022, is when WSU students move in for the fall semester. On Friday, August 12, 2022, you can move in early. Students can check in at any time during the Week of Welcome and up until the day before classes start on Sunday, August 21, 2022.
On Monday, August 22, 2022, fall classes at WSU will begin. The first day of school for the 2022 fall term.
Forms to waive tuition fees for faculty and staff will be accepted until Monday, August 22, 2022.
The last day to sign up is Monday, August 22, 2022. There is a $25.00 late registration fee. Find out how to add or sign up for a class through myWSU.
Sunday, August 28, 2022, is the last day to drop out of a term at WSU and get your money back (less term withdrawal fee).
Sunday, August 28, 2022, is the last day students can add a course online. Classes that are added after this date need to be signed.
Sunday, August 28, 2022, is the last day to sign up without paying a $100 late fee.
According to the WSU academic calendar for 2022-2023, the last day to turn in Faculty/Staff tuition fee waiver forms to add courses for faculty, staff, and state employees who get a tuition waiver is September 2, 2022.
Friday, September 2, 2022, is the last day that you can switch from audit to credit.
Friday, September 2, 2022, is the last day a student can get a refund for special course fees.
The last day to add a course as audit, switch from credit to audit, or switch from audit to credit is September 2, 2022.
On the WSU school calendar, Labor Day is on Monday, September 5, 2022.
The last day to pay unpaid tuition is Tuesday, September 6, 2022. After that, mandatory fees or a 3 percent late fee will be added.

The last day to drop a class without a record is Tuesday, September 20, 2022. On the WSU academic calendar 2022-2023, if a student drops a class after this date, it will show up on their transcript.
If you haven’t paid your tuition by Tuesday, September 20, 2022, you will have to pay mandatory fees or a 5 percent late fee.
Tuesday, September 20, 2022, is the last day to submit an application for residency.
If you haven’t paid your tuition by Wednesday, October 5, 2022, you will have to pay mandatory fees or a 7 percent late fee.
The last day to apply for a Fall 2022 Graduate Degree is Friday, October 7, 2022. After this date, late fees will be charged.
The last day to turn in a midterm grade is Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Required for students in their first year of college.
The best day to take Final Exams for an advanced degree is Friday, November 4, 2022.
On the WSU school calendar, Veteran’s Day is on Friday, November 11, 2022.
Friday, November 18, 2022, is the last day for undergraduate and graduate students to drop out of a class. Tuition doesn’t go down when a student drops out.
Friday, November 18, 2022, is the last day to take the last test for an advanced degree.
From Monday, November 21, 2022, to Friday, November 25, 2022, WSU will be on Thanksgiving break.
The last day to apply for a Fall 2022 undergraduate or professional degree or certificate with a $75 late fee is Friday, December 9, 2022. The WSU academic calendar for 2022-2023 says that after this date, the fee will go up to $150.
Friday, December 9, 2022, is the last day to switch from pass/fail to letter grades.
The last day to add a class for this term with the right signatures is Friday, December 9, 2022.
The last day to drop out of a term at WSU is Friday, December 9, 2022.
Friday, December 9, 2022, is the last day of class for the fall term.
On Saturday, December 10, 2022, WSU Pullman will have its Commencement/Graduation.
From Monday, December 12, 2022, to Friday, December 16, 2022, final exams will be given.
Tuesday, December 20, 2022, is the last day to turn in your final grade.
Fall On the WSU academic calendar, the last grades will be given out on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. Under the “Academics” tab on myWSU, students can click “Grades” to see their grades. At transcripts.wsu.edu, students can also place an order for an official transcript.

WSU academic calendar spring 2023

The WSU spring 2023 calendar has important dates and deadlines for the academic year 2022-2023.

On Monday, November 7, 2022, people who want to sign up first for Spring 2023 can do so.
Classes for spring 2023 start on Monday, January 9, 2023. The first day of school for the semester.
On Monday, January 9, 2023, forms to waive tuition fees for faculty and staff will be accepted.
The last day to sign up is Monday, January 9, 2023. There is a late registration fee of $25.00.
Sunday, January 15, 2023, is the last day to drop out of a term at WSU and get a full refund (minus a term withdrawal fee).
The last day students can add a course online is January 15, 2023. Classes that are added after this date need to be signed.
The WSU academic calendar says that the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday is on Monday, January 16, 2023.
The last day a student can get a refund for special course fees is Friday, January 20, 2023.
Friday, January 20, 2023, is the last day to add a course as audit, change from credit to audit, or change from audit to credit.

Tuition and mandatory fees that haven’t been paid by Tuesday, February 7, 2023, will be charged a 5% late fee.
Tuesday, February 7, 2023, is the last day to submit an application for residency.
On the WSU school calendar, President’s Day is on Monday, February 20, 2023. Every office at the University will stay open.
If you don’t pay your tuition and required fees by Wednesday, February 22, 2023, you will be charged a 7 percent late fee.
The last day to turn in a midterm grade is Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Required for students in their first year of college.
Friday, March 3, 2023, is the last day to send in an application for a Graduate Degree. After this date, late fees will be added.
The last day to apply for a Graduate Certificate or Degree is March 3, 2023. No extensions, no late fees.
Friday, March 3, 2023, is the last day to apply for a degree or certificate that will be given in May 2023 without having to pay a late fee. After this date, there is an extra fee of $75.
On Monday, March 6, 2023, you can sign up for the summer of 2023 with priority.
From Monday, March 13, 2023, to Friday, March 17, 2023, WSU will be on spring break.
Graduate students have until Saturday, April 8, 2023, to submit the completed Exam Scheduling form through their department’s portal.
On Monday, April 10, 2023, people who want to register first for fall 2023 can do so.
The last day for undergraduate and graduate students to drop out of a course is Friday, April 14, 2023. The WSU academic calendar for 2022-2023 says that dropping out does not lower tuition costs.
Friday, April 21, 2023, is the last day to take the last test for an advanced degree.
Friday, April 28, 2023, is the last day of class for the spring term.
Friday, April 28, 2023, is the last day to apply for a bachelor’s, master’s, or professional degree or certificate that will be given in May 2023 with a $75 late fee. The late fee goes up to $150 after this date.
Changes from pass/fail to letter grades must be made by Friday, April 28, 2023.
Friday, April 28, 2023, is the last day to add a class for this term with the right signatures.
The last day to drop out of a term at WSU is Friday, April 28, 2023.
WSU Final exams for the spring of 2023 start on Monday, May 1, 2023, and go through Friday, May 5, 2023.
WSU Pullman On May 6, 2023, commencement or graduation will take place.
The last day to turn in your final grade for Spring 2023 is Tuesday, May 9, 2023.
The final grades for the spring of 2023 will be given out on May 10, 2023. Under the “Academics” tab on myWSU, WSU students can choose “Grades.” At transcripts.wsu.edu, students can also place an order for an official transcript.
Friday, June 9, 2023, is the last day to apply for a bachelor’s, master’s, or professional degree or certificate that will be given in May 2023 with a $150 late fee.
Students in college or graduate school have until Friday, June 16, 2023, to meet all of the requirements to be considered for the May 2023 class. If conditions are not met by this date, the graduation application will be turned off.
