Students at the University of Toronto Mississauga can look at the UTM Academic Calendar 2022-2023 to find out about important dates, deadlines, dates to enroll, and other important dates.

The University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM), also called U of T Mississauga, is a branch campus of the University of Toronto in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

UTM important dates fall 2022

On the UTM academic calendar for fall 2022, these are the important dates.

The last day to ask for a Type 2 or 3 program on UTM ACORN is May 1, 2022. (Round 1).
If you asked for an invitation to a program (subject POSt) during Round 1, you have until June 1, 2022 to accept it.
Year 4/5 students will find out when they can start a course on June 23, 2022.
Students in Year 4/5 with 14.0 or more credits: You can sign up for a course on June 28, 2022, at the time you were given on ACORN.
The date range for requests for the November Convocation is June 28, 2022 to September 8, 2022. During this time, students can also change their minds about wanting to graduate.
Year 3 students can find out when they can start a course on June 29, 2022.
Canada Day Holiday is July 1, 2022.
The deadline to apply for a Letter of Permission to study in the Fall session at another Canadian university is July 1, 2022.
Students in Year 3 (9.0–13.5 credits): You can sign up for a course on July 6, 2022, at the time you were given on ACORN.
Students in Year 2 will find out when they can start a course on July 7, 2022.
Students in Year 2 (4.0–8.5 credits): You can sign up for a course on July 13, 2022, at the time you were given on ACORN.
On July 14, 2022, students in Year 1 will find out when they can start a course.
On July 18, 2022, the fees for the Fall-Winter session will be put up on ACORN.
Students in Year 1 (0–3.5 credits): You can sign up for a course on July 20, 2022, at the time you were given on ACORN.
The maximum number of credits you can take in a course goes up from 5.0 to 6.0 on July 27, 2022 at 6AM.
U of T Mississauga degree students can start taking courses with priority enrollment controls on July 27, 2022, at 6 a.m.
For F and Y courses, you can send in the Course Enrollment Exception Form with an approved Course Overload Petition between July 27, 2022 and September 21, 2022. The deadline is 4 p.m. on September 21.
For S courses, you can send in the Course Enrollment Exception Form with an approved Course Overload Petition between July 27, 2022 and January 20, 2023. The deadline is 4 p.m. on January 20.
Visitor students have until August 1, 2022, to apply for F & Y courses.
August 1, 2022, is a Civic Holiday.
Non-degree and visiting students can start to sign up for classes on August 3, 2022.
The Course Enrolment Exception Form can be used to sign up for a repeated F or Y course between August 3, 2022 and September 21, 2022. The deadline is 4 p.m. on September 21.
The Course Enrolment Exception Form can be used to ask to enroll in a repeated S course between August 3, 2022 and January 20, 2023. The deadline is 4 p.m. on January 20.
All U of T students can sign up for classes at other campuses starting at 6 a.m. on August 5, 2022. Students at UTM can take courses at St. George/UTSC or at UTM.
The last day to pay the minimum amount to sign up is August 17, 2022. (check your invoice on ACORN).
If you paid your first tuition bill between August 18, 2022 and August 31, 2022, use AskRegistrar to submit the Proof of Payment Form. If you can’t pay your ACORN fees right away, you need to fill out the Fee Deferral Form by August 31.
The last day to ask for Type 2 & 3 Subject POSts on ACORN is August 26, 2022.
The last day to pay money is September 1, 2022. Students who are not registered on ACORN will be kicked out of school.
On September 2, 2022, you can sign up for F and Y courses late for $44 plus $5 for each additional weekday. This is true for students who need to re-register after being kicked out of classes for not paying their fees or for students who start taking F&Y classes for the first time on September 2.
On September 5, 2022, it is Labor Day.
The deadline to cancel Fall-Winter registration (drop out of ALL classes) with no minimum charge is September 7, 2022.
Fall 2022 classes at UTM start on September 8, 2022, for F and Y classes.
The last day to confirm or cancel a request to graduate for the November Convocation on ACORN is September 8, 2022.
If the request to join a program (subject POSt) was made during Round 2, you have until September 20, 2022 to say yes.
The wait list for F&Y classes ends on September 21, 2022.
The last day to add or change a section in a F or Y course on ACORN is September 21, 2022.
Students who pay deregulated program fees have until September 21, 2022 to drop all of their classes and get a full refund of their program fees, less the minimum charge.
The last day for students who pay course fees to drop F and/or Y courses on ACORN and get a 100 percent grade is September 21, 2022.
The first day you can request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for F or Y courses is September 22, 2022.
The first day you can ask for a second chance to get credit for a F or Y course is September 22, 2022.
Students who pay course fees have until September 28, 2022 to drop a F course and get 75% of their course fees back.
Fall term fees must be paid in full by September 30, 2022, in order to avoid service charges. This is true for students who took out a loan to put off their fees or paid their fees to register.
The date of Thanksgiving in 2022 is October 10.
Reading The dates for this week are October 11–14, 2022.
Students who pay course fees have until October 13, 2022 to drop a F course and get half of their course fee back.
Students who pay course fees have until October 13, 2022 to drop a Y course and get 75% of their course fee back.
On October 15, 2022, a monthly service charge will be added to all accounts that still have a balance from the Fall term (until all fees are paid in full). This is true for students who took out a loan to put off their fees or paid their fees to register.
The last day to ask for a Letter of Permission to study at another Canadian university during the Winter Term is November 1, 2022.
Students who pay course fees have until November 10, 2022 to drop a Y course and get half of their course fee back.
The last day to drop a F course from your record and GPA is November 16, 2022.
Students who are only registered for the S term have until November 30, 2022 to pay the minimum amount of tuition fees as shown on their ACORN bill.
Students who signed up for the Fall/Winter session through payment (no deferral) have until November 30, 2022 to pay their Winter term fees in full to avoid service charges.
The last day for visiting students to sign up for S courses is December 1, 2022.
Only students in the S term need to submit the Proof of Payment Form on AskRegistrar if they pay their fees between December 1, 2022 and December 12, 2022. Otherwise, they could be kicked out of classes.
The last day to ask for or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for F courses taken at UTSC is December 5, 2022.
The last day to request a Late Withdrawal (LWD) for a F course at UTSC is December 5, 2022.
The last day to request a Late Withdrawal (LWD) for a F course at UTM is December 7, 2022.
The last day to request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for F courses taken at St. George is December 7, 2022.
The last day to ask for or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for UTM F courses with a final exam is December 7, 2022. If there is no final exam, the request must be made or canceled by the deadline or before the last assessment is due for the course (whichever date comes first).
The last day to request or cancel a Second Attempt for Credit for F courses is December 7, 2022.
F classes end on December 7, 2022, and Y classes break for the holidays.
Break from school is on December 8, 2022.
The last UTM exam will be given from December 9 to December 20, 2022.

Dates to remember for UTM in winter 2023

On the UTM academic calendar for winter 2023, these are the important dates.

Students who only signed up for S courses on December 13, 2022 will not be able to register for winter 2023 if their fees have not been paid or put on hold. Students who are not “Registered” on ACORN will be kicked out of their classes.
On December 14, 2022, S courses will charge a late registration fee of $44 plus $5 for each extra weekday. Only applies to students who need to re-register after being kicked out of classes for not paying fees or who sign up for S courses for the first time after December 14.
Students who signed up for the Fall/Winter session through payment (no deferment) will start having to pay a monthly fee on their Winter term balances starting on December 15, 2022.
Winter break period is December 21, 2022 – December 30, 2022.
Exam Plan B Day is on January 7, 2023.
If you only signed up for S courses, you have until January 8, 2023 to cancel your registration (withdraw from all courses) without having to pay a minimum fee.
On January 9, 2023, S courses at UTM start for the winter term. Y courses resume.
The waitlist for S courses ends on January 22, 2023.
The last day to add or change a section in a S course on ACORN is January 22, 2023.
Students who pay deregulated program fees have until January 22, 2023 to switch from full-time to part-time status and get half of their program fees back. During Fall/Winter, you will be charged 50% of the deregulated per-course fees based on how many credits you have. If you switch from full-time to part-time work after this date, you won’t get any money back.
Students who pay course fees have until January 22, 2023, to drop a S course on ACORN and get a full refund of the course fee, as long as they are still signed up for other classes for this session.
On January 23, 2023, it will be possible to request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for S courses for the first time.
January 23, 2023, is the first day you can ask for a Second Attempt for Credit for S courses.
Students who pay course fees have until January 29, 2023 to drop a S course and get 75% of their course fees back.
The last day to confirm or cancel your request for June Convocation on ACORN is January 30, 2023.
Winter term fees must be paid by January 31, 2023, or service charges will be added (if you have been deferred due to a loan or if you were registered by paying at least the minimum payment).
Students who pay course fees have until February 12, 2023 to drop a S course and get half of their course fee back.
Winter term service charges start to add up on February 15, 2023, if you were deferred because of a loan or registered by making the minimum payment. Note that the dates for service charges are different for students who were given a scholarship or award or who had their tuition waived.
The last day to drop a Y course from your record and GPA is February 20, 2023.
The holiday of Family Day is on February 20, 2023.
The rescheduled exam time for December tests is February 21–24, 2023.
The dates for Reading Week in 2023 are February 21–24.
The last day to drop a S course from your record and GPA is March 19, 2023.
You have until April 1, 2023, to apply for a Letter of Permission to study at another Canadian university during the Summer Session.
The last day to ask for a Late Withdrawal (LWD) from a Y&S course at UTM is April 6, 2023.
The last day to request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for Y&S courses taken at St. George is April 6, 2023.
The last day to request or cancel Credit/No Credit on ACORN for Y&S courses with a final exam at UTM is April 6, 2023. If there is no final exam, the request must be made or canceled by the deadline or before the last assessment is due for the course (whichever date comes first).
The last day to submit or cancel a Second Attempt for Credit request for Y and S courses is April 6, 2023.
The last day of school for courses Y and S is April 6, 2023.
On April 7, 2023, it is Good Friday.
April 10, 2023, is Make-Up Day.
The last day to ask for Credit/No Credit on ACORN for Y&S courses taken at UTSC is April 10, 2023.
The last day to request a Late Withdrawal (LWD) from a Y or S course at UTSC is April 10, 2023.
The date of study break is April 11, 2023.
The last UTM exam will be given from April 12 to April 24 of 2023.
Exam Plan B Day is April 25, 2023.
From April 26, 2023, to May 1, 2023, S and Y exams will be put off.
Students who are graduating have until April 30, 2023 to show proof of payment for any fees they still owe and to get rid of any financial or administrative holds.
All students have until April 30, 2023, to pay any Fall-Winter session fees they still owe.

Are there in-person UTM classes for the winter of 2023?

Starting in January 2023, most classes at UTM will be taught in person. Students who take classes online are still encouraged to come to campus if they want to use campus facilities, like health, wellness, and study spaces.
