UIC academic calendar Fall 2022

Check out the UIC Academic Calendar for fall 2022 to see what dates and deadlines are important.

1. Monday, August 22, 2022, is the first day of fall classes.
2. Friday, September 2 is the last day to register late, add a course or change a section, or drop a course through XE Registration without getting a W (Withdrawn) grade on your academic record. Last day to Web Drop courses through XE Registration and get your tuition and fees back in full.
3. Monday, September 5, 2022, is Labor Day.
4. CampusCare Waiver ends at midnight on Sunday, September 12, 2022.
5. Friday, October 28, 2022, is the last day for undergraduates to use optional late drop in the college office and get a grade of W on their academic record.
6. Thanksgiving is on Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25, 2022.
7. The last day of class is December 2, 2022.
8. From Monday, December 5, to Friday, December 9, 2022, there will be final exams.
9. Deadline for instructors to turn in grades for 16-week courses (5 p.m.).
10. Monday, December 19, 2022, you can check your grades at my.UIC.edu.

UIC academic calendar Spring 2023

1. On Monday, January 9, 2023, spring classes at UIC start.
2. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is on Monday, January 16, 2023.
3. Friday, January 20, 2023 is the last day to register late, add a course or change a section, or drop a course through XE Registration without getting a W (Withdrawn) grade on your academic record. Last day to Web Drop courses through XE Registration and get your tuition and fees back in full.
4. CampusCare Waiver will end on Sunday, February 5, 2023. See UIC’s blackboard.
5. Undergraduates have until Friday, March 17, 2023 to use optional late drop in the college office and get a grade of W on their academic record.
6. From Monday, March 20, 2023, to Friday, March 24, 2023, UIC will be on spring break.
7. The last day of spring classes is Friday, April 28, 2023.
8. From Monday, May 1, 2023, to Friday, May 5, 2023, the last exams will be given.
9. Monday, May 15, 2023, you can check your grades at my.UIC.edu.

UIC academic calendar Summer Session 2022

There are two parts to Summer Session: Summer Session 1 (4-Week Session) and Summer Session 2. (8-Week Session).

Summer Session 1

1. Lessons for Summer Session 1 start on Monday, May 16, 2022.
2. The last day to register late for Summer Session 1 is Wednesday, May 18, 2022. This is also the last day to add a course or change a section, and the last day to drop a Summer Session 1 course through XE Registration without getting a W (Withdrawn) grade on your academic record. Last day to Web Drop Summer Session 1 classes through XE Registration and get your tuition and fees back in full.
3. Memorial Day is on Monday, May 30, 2022. It is also the deadline for the CampusCare Waiver.
4. According to the UIC academic calendar, undergraduate students have until June 1, 2022, to use the optional late drop for a Summer Session 1 course in the college office and get a grade of W on their academic record.
5. Summer Session 1 comes to an end on Thursday, June 9, 2022.
6. On Friday, June 10, 2022, the last exams for Summer Session 1 will be given.

Summer Session 2

1. On Monday, June 13, 2022, class for the second summer session starts.
2. The last day to register late for Summer Session 2 is Friday, June 17, 2022. This is also the last day to add a course or change a section, and the last day to drop a Summer Session 2 course through XE Registration without getting a W (Withdrawn) grade on your academic record. Last day to Web Drop courses through XE Registration and get your tuition and fees back in full.
3. Independence Day is on Monday, July 4, 2022.
4. Undergraduates have until Friday, July 15, to use the optional late drop for a Summer Session 2 course at the college office and get a W on their academic record.
5. Summer Session 2 comes to an end on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
