Through the myucdavis portal, you can use the UC Davis Schedule Builder to plan and sign up for classes online.
How to get to the UC Davis Schedule Builder and use it
To use the Schedule Builder at UC Davis,
- Go to www.My.ucdavis.edu.
- Click on “Log in.”
- It should take you to a secure page where you can log in.
- Use your UC Davis Kerberos ID, which is the same one you use for the “myadmissions” page, to sign in.
- You can also open my Schedule Builder directly and enter your UC Davis Login ID and Kerberos passphrase.
- The “academics” tab should be at the very top of the page.
- When you click on that, a dropdown will appear.
- Then, click on Class Registration.
- This will take you to the site where you can make a schedule.
- Choose the school term “Fall 2022.” On the UC Davis Academic Calendar, you can find important dates and due dates.
- Make a new timetable. Give the timetable. Put in, classes.
- During the next meeting, you and your major advisor will talk about what classes you might take in your first year.
- Click on “Make a New Plan.”
- Next, give it a name.
- To find your classes, click the Add/Search course button.
- Once you’re at the “add/search” icon, click “show advanced options” to make it easier to find courses that are still open and available for you all to take.
- Go ahead and save the course based on the time slots you like. Save the times you want for your classes to your schedule. Saving is different from signing up.
- Use the calendar view to get a sense of how each day of the week will look. Click View in the upper right corner, and then click Calendar View.
- Register for Classes. Once you click “Register,” make sure you are signed up for the course you want.
- Make sure you sign up for at least 12 units to get full-time status for financial aid and student housing. Students should be making 13 units of progress toward the 39 units they need to keep their grades up.
- Swap: If you need to take a different class instead of the one you’ve already signed up for, you can do this.
- The drop means to remove a course for which you have already signed up.
How to use the UC Davis Schedule Builder is shown in a video.
What do people do for fun at UC Davis?
At UC Davis, a Pass Time is a four-hour window when you can sign up for classes. The number of units you have determines the Pass Time you get.
A senior will have more fun than a junior, and so on. This is because these students need to take certain classes to finish school.
Don’t worry if you miss your pass time window. There will still be time for you to sign up for classes. If it’s registration day, you can wait until open hours (Saturday–Sunday, 10 am–6 pm, or Monday–Friday, 8 pm–12 am) to sign up, but don’t miss those either. it’s been a day or more, you can try to use the open hours. If that doesn’t work, you might have to wait until your Pass 2 time.
UC Davis Schedule Builder extension
The Google Chrome extension Schedule Builder Export lets you export from UC Davis Schedule Builder to Google Calendar. The “Export” button is added to the UC Davis Schedule Builder page by this extension.
When you finish making a schedule and click the “Export” button, Google Calendar will import and sync the schedule. For this extension to work, you must be signed into Chrome (not Google) with the account you want to use.
How to put yourself on UC Davis’s waitlist
During their Pass One registration appointment, students can use Schedule Builder to put themselves on a waitlist if a class is already full. The waiting list process goes on until the 12th day of class.
Note that waitlists aren’t for all classes, and some only have them during Pass Two.
Waitlisted classes count toward the maximum number of units you can take during registration times. When figuring out if you can get financial aid, the units of a course for which you are on the waitlist do not matter.
When a student on the waitlist gets into a class, they are told through their UC Davis email address.
All students must use the UC Davis Schedule Builder to drop waitlisted classes that they do not want to take.
During the school year, waitlists start on the first day of Pass One registration and end on the 12th day of instruction, which is the last day to add classes.
Students who aren’t added to a waitlisted course before the waitlist ends will be dropped, and the registration error Dropped-Waitlist Ended will show up in the status box for the class on Schedule Builder.
On the UC Davis schedule builder, what does “s/u” mean?
S/U stands for “satisfactory” or “not satisfactory.” Graduate students get the grade “Satisfactory” for work in graduate courses that would otherwise get a grade of B- or better, and undergraduate students get the grade “Satisfactory” for work in undergraduate courses that would otherwise get a grade of C- or better.
For graduate students, an “S” grade is the same as a C or higher letter grade, and a “U” grade is the same as a C- or lower letter grade.
In courses that have been approved, teachers only give grades of Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory. These courses count toward the maximum number of units with an “S” grade that each degree program allows.
If you got a letter grade in a course before, you can’t take it again with the S/U option. If you took a course for a letter grade and got an “Incomplete,” you can’t finish it on a S/U basis. Make sure the grading mode you’ve chosen uses letter grades.
