LSU academic calendar fall semester 2022

Here is the LSU academic calendar for fall 2022, which includes important dates and due dates.

On August 12, 2022, there will be a meeting for new international graduate students.
The orientation for new international undergraduate and exchange students will take place from August 15 to 18, 2022.
The dates for LSU’s fall 2022 move-in day are August 19, 2022, through August 21, 2022.
On August 22, 2022, fall classes at LSU will start.
The last day to drop classes in myLSU without getting a “W” grade is August 30, 2022 at 4:30 pm.
The last day to add courses for credit and change sections is August 31, 2022.
On September 5, 2022, it will be Labor Day.
From October 13 to October 14, 2022, LSU will be on fall break.
Midterm grades are due on October 18, 2022, at 9:00 am.
The last day to drop classes is November 4, 2022, at 4:30 p.m.
Last day to quit your job at the University
When you have three exams in 24 hours, you have until this date to ask to change the date of your final exam.
The Thanksgiving holiday starts on November 23, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. and lasts until November 25, 2022.
From November 30 to December 4, 2022, is the concentrated Study Period. There will be no meetings, social events, sports games, or other extracurricular activities that require students to take part. There will also be no major exams in classes other than labs.
The last day of fall school is December 3, 2022.
The last test will be given from December 5 to December 10, 2022.
Degree candidates have to turn in their final grades by December 13, 2022, at 9:00 am.
Final grades are due at 9 a.m. on December 14, 2022, for people who don’t want a degree.
Start Day will be on December 16, 2022.

2022 Winter Session at LSU

Here is the LSU academic calendar for the winter session of 2022. It includes important dates and due dates.

Winter classes at LSU start on December 15, 2022.
The last day to drop classes without getting a “W” grade is December 15, 2022, at 4:30 p.m.
The last day to add courses for credit and make changes to sections is December 16, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. The last day to ask deans’ offices to use the Grade Exclusion Policy is also the same day.
From December 23, 2022, to January 2, 2023, LSU will be on winter break.
The LSU academic calendar says that classes will start back up on January 3, 2023.
The last day to drop classes is January 3, 2023, at 4:30 pm. Today is also the last day to quit the university.
The last day of school is January 6, 2023.
The last test for Wintersession will be on January 7, 2023.
Final grades are due at 9 a.m. on January 10, 2023.

LSU academic calendar spring semester 2023

Here is the spring 2023 academic calendar for LSU.

On January 17, 2023, spring classes at LSU will start.
The last day to drop classes without getting a “W” grade is January 25, 2023, at 4:30 p.m.
The last day to add courses for credit and change sections is January 26, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. It is also the last day for students to ask their deans to use the Grade Exclusion Policy.
From February 20 to 22, 2023, is the Mardi Gras holiday. On February 22, 2023, school starts back up at 12:30 p.m.
From March 13 to March 17, 2023, LSU will be on spring break.
Midterm grades are due on March 14, 2023, at 9:00 am.
The last day to drop classes is April 6, 2023, at 4:30 pm.
The last day to quit the University is April 6, 2023, and the last day to ask to reschedule a final exam when three are scheduled in 24 hours is the same day.
On April 7, 2023, LSU will be closed for the Good Friday Holiday.
From May 3 to May 7, 2023, the concentrated Study Period will take place. There will be no meetings, social events, sports games, or other extracurricular activities that require students to take part. There will also be no major exams in classes other than labs.
The last day of school is May 6, 2023.
The last exams of the spring of 2023 will be given from May 8 to May 13, 2023.
Degree candidates have to turn in their final grades by May 16, 2023, at 9:00 am.
Non-degree candidates must turn in their final grades by May 17, 2023, at 9:00 am.
The LSU 2023 Commencement will take place over two days, from May 19 to May 20, 2023.

LSU academic calendar summer sessions 2022

First summer (Session B)

Classes for the LSU summer session B start on May 23, 2022.
The last day to drop classes without getting a “W” grade is May 25 at 4:30 p.m.
The last day to add courses for credit and change sections is May 27 at 4:30 p.m. It is also the last day for students to ask their deans to use the Grade Exclusion Policy.
Mid-semester grades due on June 8 (9:00 am).
June 14 is the last day to drop classes (4:30 pm).
Juneteenth is on June 20, 2022, and there are no classes that day.
The last classes and tests will be on June 25 and 27, 2022.
Final grades due on June 28 (9:00am).
The date of the start is August 12, 2022.

Second summer (Session C)

Classes at LSU start on July 5, 2022, for summer session C.
The last day to drop classes without getting a “W” grade is July 7 at 4:30 p.m.
The last day to add courses for credit and make changes to sections is July 8 at 4:30 p.m. It is also the last day for students to ask their deans to use the Grade Exclusion Policy.
On July 21, midterm grades are due (9:00 am).
July 27 is the last day to drop classes (4:30 pm).
On August 6 and 8, 2022, the last classes and tests will be held.
Final grades are due on August 9 (9:00 am).
The date of the start is August 12, 2022.
