Eligibility Criteria for IMD MBA Scholarships

To be eligible for IMD MBA Scholarships, applicants must meet all of the conditions listed below:

  • Required Language: English
  • Eligible Countries: All world countries
  • Bachelor’s Degree: or the equivalent
  • Work Experience: We need you to have at least three years of post-graduate, full-time experience so you can show us how your career is progressing. Four to nine years old is the normal range in the class.
  • Two Recommenders: Using our form, select individuals from business-related sources who are familiar with you, have worked with you directly, and can speak highly of your career accomplishments, interpersonal abilities, teamwork, and leadership.
  • GMAT/GRE: The typical GMAT score in the group is around 680. Although your exceptional expertise and accomplishments can make up for a lower score, we advise you to aim for a score of at least 630. (for an equivalent GRE score, see the GRE Comparison Tool). Make sure IMD is listed as the recipient of your score.
  • TOEFL/IELTS: The program is entirely taught in English. You must submit a TOEFL or IELTs score if English is not your first language and you have not previously studied in English. There is no prerequisite of any kind. The ideal scores are 105+ on the TOEFL (IBT) or 7.5 on the IELTS. C301 is our TOEFL IBT code.   • Second Language: As part of your global perspective, we look for proficiency in a second language, which could be your native tongue, in addition to English.

How to Apply for IMD MBA Scholarships?

For IMD MBA Scholarship applications, kindly follow the guidelines below:

(2) Add the upcoming files to your uploads:

  • Degrees and Transcripts
    • Copies of all original diplomas and transcripts, along with the grade scale, for all degrees earned at the university level or its equivalent. Each document must be translated into English or French by an official translator.
  • GMAT/GRE
    • A GMAT or GRE score from within the last five years.
    • You must get an official score report from IMD and upload a copy of your test results. Our GRE code is 8490, and our GMAT code is SKR-MM-13.
  • English Test
    • A TOEFL or IELTS score from less than five years ago, or (for non-native English speakers who do not have a university degree taught fully in English).
    • You must get an official score report from IMD and upload a copy of your test results. C301 is our TOEFL IBT code.
  • Recommenders
    • Two business-related references who can attest to your accomplishments in the workplace, interpersonal abilities, teamwork, and leadership.
    • In order to give them enough time to fill out and submit our online form, we advise entering and submitting their contact information at least two weeks prior to the application deadline. We only accept professional email addresses; we do not accept Hotmail, Gmail, etc.
  • CV
    • Using the IMD CV template, which may be downloaded here, a one-page resume in English. Other formats won’t be taken, though.
  • Photo
    • A digital photo taken in a professional manner without any surrounding scenery. High resolution, at least 150 DPI, 150KB in size, and JPEG format.
  • Passport
    • A copy of your photo page from your passport, which must be valid for the whole MBA year. Please attach a copy of each nationality if you have more than one.
  • Application Fee
    • There is a CHF 200 non-refundable application fee.
