Gatech Academic Calendar 2022-2023: Important Dates

The Georgia Tech Academic Calendar, or Gatech academic calendar 2022-2023, has a Fall Semester, a Spring Semester, and an accelerated Summer Session.

In general, each Fall Semester and each Spring Semester have about fifteen weeks of classes and one week of final exams. About eleven weeks of classes and one week of final exams make up a typical Summer Session.

Each Academic Year is made up of two semesters, one in the fall and one in the spring. A “term” could mean the Fall Semester, the Spring Semester, or the Summer Session.

Gatech academic calendar fall 2022

On the academic calendar for the Fall semester of 2022 at Gatech, these are the important dates and deadlines.

The deadline for students with a drop or review grade to apply for readmission is June 1, 2022.
For Fall 2022, the last day to ask for a leave of absence is July 1, 2022.
The last day to sign up for Cross-Registration for the Fall Semester of 2022 is July 15, 2022.
Out-of-State Tuition Classification Waivers must be turned in by August 1, 2022.
All Gatech students can sign up for Phase II from August 13, 2022, to August 26, 2022. The deadline to sign up is 4 p.m. Eastern Time. You can change your schedule and drop classes without getting a “W.”
Fall 2022 classes at Gatech will start on August 22, 2022. The first day of school.
Online Application for Graduation Window ends on August 26, 2022.
August 26, 2022 is Registration Schedule Change Deadline. The last day to sign up, change your schedule, or drop classes without getting a “W” grade for the Fall Semester of 2022 is at 4:00 pm ET. After the registration/schedule change deadline, you can’t make any changes to audit mode.
Payment Deadline is August 29, 2022. By 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, the last day to keep class from being cancelled is over.
On the academic calendar for 2022, Labor Day is on September 5.
From October 17 to October 18, 2022, Gatech will be on fall break.
The last day to withdraw is October 29, 2022. The last day to drop one class or drop out of school with a “W” grade for the Fall Semester of 2022 is at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. To get your money back, you must drop out of all of your classes.
Changes from Letter/Grade to Pass/Fail (or vice versa) must be made by October 29, 2022. After the last day of registration, you can’t make any changes to Audit mode. Forms that are filled out and signed by an advisor will be accepted until 4 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, October 31, 2022.
The deadline to change a grade is October 29, 2022. Today is the last day to ask for a grade change. Forms are due by 4 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday, October 31.
On November 23, 2022, students will have a break.
From November 24, 2022, to November 25, 2022, is Thanksgiving Break.
From December 5, 2022, to December 6, 2022, there will be no more lessons.
The 7th of December, 2022, is Reading Day.
From December 8, 2022, to December 15, 2022, the last test will be given.
The end of the Fall 2022 term is on December 15, 2022.

Spring 2023 on the academic calendar for Gatech

For the Spring semester of 2023 at Gatech, these are the important dates and deadlines.

Students with a grade of drop or review have until October 1, 2022, to fill out an application for readmission. All other students have until December 1, 2022, to finish.
The schedule of classes for Spring 2023 will be online on October 26, 2022.
Between November 7 and December 16, 2022, people can sign up for Phase I.
The last day to apply for cross-registration is November 15, 2022.
The last day to apply for readmission for spring 2023 is December 1, 2022.
From January 5 to 13, 2023, people can sign up for the second phase of spring registration.
Classes at Gatech for Spring 2023 start on January 9, 2023.
The last day to register, change your schedule, or drop without getting a “W” grade is January 13, 2023 at 4:00 pm EST. After the registration deadline, you can’t make any changes to or get out of audit mode.
The holiday for Martin Luther King Jr. is on January 16, 2023.
If you don’t pay by January 17, 2023, your class will be cancelled.
The date for withdrawal is March 17, 2023. By 4:00 p.m. EST, it is the last day to drop out of a single course with a “W” grade or drop out of school with all “W” grades.
From March 20 to March 24, 2023, Gatech will be on spring break.
The last days of instruction are April 24, 2023, and April 25, 2023.
On the Gatech school calendar, reading period is on April 26, 2023.
From April 27, 2023, to May 4, 2023, the last test will be given.
The last day of spring school is May 4, 2023.
On May 5 and 6, 2023, the event will start.
The date for spring candidates to get their degrees is May 11, 2023.
