Cuny Blackboard: How to Access Cuny eLearning Portal

Cuny Blackboard: is a place where anyone in the CUNY community can go to learn online.

Through the CUNY Portal, you can sign in to Blackboard. If you are a CUNY student, teacher, or staff member, you already have a CUNY Portal account.

To use that account, you need to sign up for it by making a username and password. These credentials might be different from the username and password you use on campus.

How to log into cuny blackboard

You can get to CUNY Blackboard in two different ways: through CUNYfirst or by going straight to Blackboard.

Use the CUNY Portal to sign in.

1. Go to cuny.edu in your web browser.
2. Click the Portal Log-in link
3. Enter your username and password for the CUNY Portal and click the Log-in button.
4. Click on the link for Blackboard.
5. The Home tab will be open when the blackboard elearn page opens. In the My Courses module, you can see the courses.

Log directly into Blackboard

1. Go to www.cuny.edu in your web browser.
2. Move the mouse over the Log-in link and click on Blackboard (bbhosted.cuny.edu) on the left side of the page.
3. In the small window that pops up, type in your CUNY Portal username and password. Then, click the OK button.
4. The Home tab will be open when the blackboard page opens. The My Courses module, which is on the right side of the screen, shows the courses.

How to reset your CUNY blackboard password

Log in to CUNY Portal and follow the steps below to learn how to change your CUNY blackboard login password.

1. Go to cuny portal
2. Click the link “Account and Password Reset”
3. On the user validation screen, type in your last name (case not important), your 9-digit Faculty ID number (Social Security number), and the date you were born. Click the button that says “Next.”
4. If the information is correct, click Confirm. If you made a mistake, you can click “Cancel” and start over.
5. On the Password Reset page, you can see your username and make a new password. In the second field, confirm the new password, and then click Save.
6. As soon as you click “Save,” you’ll be taken to the CUNY Portal page. To get into Cuny Blackboard, you need to enter your username and your new password.
