CMU Academic Calendar Fall Semester 2022

Here are the most important dates and due dates on the CMU Academic Calendar for Fall in the academic year 2022-2023.

1. First-year students at CMU will move in on Saturday, August 20, 2022. Due to traffic rules, CMU students will have to sign up for a move-in time between 9 am and 3:30 pm through the Housing Portal.
2. Upper-Class Move-In Day at CMU is from Wednesday, August 24, 2022, to Sunday, August 28, 2022.
3. Monday, August 29, 2022, is the first day of fall classes at CMU. Semester & Mini-1 classes begin.
4. The last day to drop, add, audit, or make a tuition adjustment for Mini-1 is Friday, September 2, 2022.
5. Monday, September 5, 2022, is Labor Day.
6. The last day to add, audit, or change your tuition for the fall semester or drop out is Monday, September 12, 2022.
7. The last day to drop Mini-1 is September 21, 2022. The CMU academic calendar says that a withdrawal grade is given after this date.
8. The deadline to pass or fail Mini-1 and drop out is Monday, October 3, 2022. This date is when Mini-1 Faculty Course Evaluations can start.
9. The last day to drop out of CMU’s Fall 2022 Semester is Monday, October 10, 2022. After this date, a withdrawal grade will be given.
10. Friday, October 14, 2022, is the last day of class for Mini-1.
11. On the CMU academic calendar for 2022-2023, the last day to vote for a Mini-1 voucher is Friday, October 14, 2022.
12. Family Weekend is Friday, October 14, 2022, and Saturday, October 15, 2022.
13. The date of the Mini-1 Exams is October 15, 2022.

27. The dates for the fall final exams are Monday, December 12 through Tuesday, December 13, Thursday, December 15 through Friday, December 16, and Sunday, December 18.
28. On the CMU academic calendar, Reading Days are on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, and Saturday, December 17, 2022.
29. Monday, December 19, 2022, is the day for make-up final exams.

CMU Academic Calendar Spring 2023

Here are the most important dates and due dates on the Spring 2023 CMU Academic Calendar.

1. From Monday, November 14, 2022, to Friday, November 18, 2022, is Registration Week for Spring 2023.
2. Monday, January 16, 2023, is Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
3. On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, the Spring Semester at CMU starts.

5. The last day to add a class, do an audit, or make a change to your tuition is Monday, January 30, 2023.
6. The last day to drop a Mini-3 course is Wednesday, February 8, 2023. After this date, a withdrawal grade will be given.
7. The deadline to pass or fail Mini-3 and drop out is Monday, February 20, 2023.
8. On Monday, February 20, 2023, Mini-3 Faculty Course Evaluations will begin.
9. Monday, February 27, 2023, is the last day to drop a course for the Spring semester of 2023. After this date, a withdrawal grade will be given.
10. Mini-3: Classes end on Friday, March 3, 2023.
11. The last day to vote in the Mini-3 Drop Voucher Election is March 3, 2023, at 11:59 p.m.
12. Saturday, March 4, 2023, is the day of the Mini-3 test.
13. The last day to turn in Mini-3 Faculty Course Evaluations is March 4, 2023.
14. From Monday, March 6, 2023, to Friday, March 10, 2023, CMU will be on Spring Break.
15. The final grades for Mini-3 are due on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 4 p.m.
16. The first day of Mini-4 school is Monday, March 13, 2023.
17. The last day to add, audit, or drop a Mini-4 class is Friday, March 17, 2023.
18. The last day to pass or fail a semester or drop out is Monday, April 3, 2023.
19. The last day to drop a Mini-4 course is Wednesday, April 5, 2023. After this date, a withdrawal grade will be given.
20. From Thursday, April 13, 2023, to Saturday, April 15, 2023, CMU will have its Spring Carnival. The academic calendar at CMU says that there will be no classes on this day. The Carnegie Mellon Spring Carnival lasts for three days and has rides, booth activities, unhealthy snacks, and buggy races.
21. The deadline to pass or fail Mini-4 and drop out is Monday, April 17, 2023.
22. On Monday, April 17, 2023, the Spring 2023 Semester and Mini-4 Faculty Course Evaluations will begin.
23. On Friday, April 28, 2023, the Spring 2023 semester will be over.
24. Friday, April 28 2023 is Semester & Mini-4 voucher deadline.
25. The CMU academic calendar says that the last exams will be on Monday, May 1, 2023, Tuesday, May 2, 2023, Thursday, May 5, 2023, Friday, May 6, 2023, and Monday, May 8, 2023.
26. The days for reading are May 3, 2023, and May 6, 2023, to May 7, 2023.
27. The last day to turn in Semester and Mini-4 Faculty Course Evaluations is May 8, 2023.

On the CMU Academic Calendar for Summer 2022, these are the most important dates and due dates.

1. Summer 2022 Registration Begins on Wednesday, March 23 2022.
2. Session On Monday, May 16, 2022, all classes and Mini-5 classes will start.
3. The last day to add a Mini-5 course is Friday, May 20, 2022. The deadline to change the grade for a Mini-5 course audit and the deadline to drop a course and get a tuition adjustment are both on the same day.
4. Friday, May 27 2022 is;
   • Session All Course Add Deadline.
   • Session All Course Audit Grade Option Deadline.
   • Session All courses must be dropped by this date to get a tuition adjustment.
5. On May 30, 2022, it is Memorial Day, so there are no classes.
6. Session The last day to drop any course is Tuesday, May 31, 2022. After this date, you will get a grade of “withdrawn.”
7. The last day to drop a Mini-5 course is June 8, 2022. After this date, give a withdrawal grade.
8. Monday, June 20, 2022, is Juneteenth, so there will be no school.
9. The last day to drop a Mini-5 course with a grade is Tuesday, June 21. After this date, you can’t drop a Mini-5 course.
10. The deadline for a Mini-5 Pass/No Pass grade is Tuesday, June 21, 2022. After this date, you should give a Withdrawal grade.
11. The Mini-5 Course Evaluations will be held at CMU from Tuesday, June 21, 2022, to Monday, June 27, 2022.
12. The last day to vote with a Mini-5 Drop Voucher is Friday, June 24, 2022, at 11:59 p.m.
13. The last day of school for Mini-5 is on Friday, June 24.
14. The Mini-5 Final Exams will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022.
15. From Monday, June 27, 2022, to Friday, July 1, 2022, there will be no school.

23. The last day of class for Session All and Mini-6 is Thursday, August 11, 2022.
24. The deadline to vote for semester and mini-6 drop vouchers is 11:59 pm on August 11, 2022.
25. The last exams for Session All and Mini-6 will be on Friday, August 12, 2022.
26. The date for making up all session and mini-6 final exams is August 15, 2022.
27. Final grades for Session All and Mini-6 are due on August 15 at 4 p.m.

Summer Session One 2022

1. Class for the first session starts on Monday, May 16, 2022.
2. The last day to add a course for Session One is Friday, May 20, 2022. The deadlines for dropping a session one course and getting a tuition adjustment are both on the same day.
3. The holiday is on Monday, May 30.
4. The last day to drop a session one course is Wednesday, June 8, 2022. After this date, students should get a withdrawal grade.
5. The Juneteenth holiday is on Monday, June 20, 2022; there are no classes.
6. The last day to get a grade for dropping a session one course is Tuesday, June 21, 2022. After this date, you can’t drop a course.
7. Deadline for a pass or fail grade on Session 1 Tuesday, June 21 2022.
8. The Session One Faculty Course Evaluations will take place from Monday, June 21, 2022, to Friday, June 27, 2022.
9. June 24 F The last day of class for the first session is Friday, June 24, 2022. It is also the deadline for the first drop-voucher election, which ends at 11:59 pm.
10. Final exams for the first session will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022.
11. Final grades for Session One are due by 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

Summer Session Two 2022

1. Independence Day is on July 4, 2022. There are no classes that day.
2. July 5 T Lessons for the second session will start on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
3. Monday, July 11 2022 is
4. Session Two Course Add Deadline.
5. July 11 is the last day to choose between a course audit and a grade.
6. July 11 is the last day to drop a course for the second session and get a tuition adjustment.
7. The last day to drop a course for Session Two is Wednesday, July 27, 2022. After this date, a Withdrawal Grade should be given.
8. Monday, August 8, 2022, is the last day to withdraw from a course for the second session. After this date, you can’t withdraw from a course. It is also the Pass/No Pass Grade Deadline for Session Two.
9. The Session Two Faculty Course Evaluations will take place from Monday, August 8, to Friday, August 12.
10. The last day of class for Session Two will be on Thursday, August 11, 2022. Session Two Election Drop Voucher Deadline is 11:59 p.m.
11. Final exams for Session Two will be on Friday, August 12, 2022.
12. Final Exam Makeups for Session All and Mini-6.
13. Final grades for Session Two are due by 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 18.
