BYU Academic Calendar 2022-2023: Important Dates & Deadlines

BYU academic calendar fall semester 2022

The BYU fall semester of 2022 starts on August 29 and ends on December 8, 2022.

1. The move-in day for BYU in 2022 is from August 20 to August 28.
2. From August 25 to August 27, 2022, new students will start getting ready for the fall semester.
3. On August 29, 2022, the fall semester will start.
4. The holiday is on September 5, 2022.
5. Add/Drop deadline (Full Semester & 1st Term) is September 6, 2022.
6. The last day to drop out of the first term or spring term is October 3, 2022.
7. The last day of 1st Term is October 18, 2022.
8. The second term will start on October 19, 2022.
9. The last day to add or drop classes for the second term is October 26, 2022.
10. The last day to withdraw from a full Semester is November 7, 2022.
11. The last day to stop is November 22, 2022.
12. The last day to drop out of the second term or summer term is November 22, 2022.
13. The Thanksgiving holiday will be on November 24 and 25, 2022.
14. Class will end on December 8, 2022.
15. The day to study for the fall exam is December 9, 2022.
16. From December 12 to December 16, 2022, the last test will be given.
17. BYU fall semester grades are due on December 22, 2022.
18. On December 27, 2022, grades for the Fall Semester are posted online.

BYU academic calendar winter semester 2023

The winter semester of 2023 will start on January 9, 2023, and end on April 19, 2023, according to the BYU academic calendar.

1. On January 7, 2023, there will be a meeting for new students.
2. Classes for the BYU Winter semester of 2022 will begin on January 9, 2023.
3. The holiday for Martin Luther King Jr. is on January 16, 2023.
4. The deadline to add or drop classes (Full Semester and 1st Term) is January 17, 2023.
5. The last day to drop out of 1st Term or Spring Term is February 13, 2023.
6. On February 20, 2023, it will be Presidents Day.
7. Instruction for Monday is on February 21, 2023.
8. March 1, 2023, is the last day of 1st Term.
9. The 2nd Term will start on March 2, 2023.
10. 2nd – Term Add/Drop deadline is March 9, 2023.
11. Withdraw deadline (Full Semester) is March 22, 2023.
12. The date for stopping is April 6, 2023.
13. The last day to drop out of the second term or summer term is April 6, 2023.
14. April 19, 2023, is the last day of Class.
15. The day to study for an exam is April 20, 2022.
16. The last test will be given from April 21 to April 26, 2023.
17. The due date for winter semester grades is May 2, 2023.
18. On May 4, 2023, grades for the Winter Semester are posted online.

BYU academic calendar spring semester 2023

Check out the BYU academic calendar for Spring term 2023 to learn about important dates and deadlines. Note: BYU doesn’t have a spring break because of Education Week and other summer obligations.

1. The BYU Spring 2023 New Student Orientation is on May 1, 2023.
2. Classes for spring 2023 start on May 2, 2023.
3. Add/Drop deadline is May 9, 2023. (Full Semester & 1st Term).
4. On May 29, 2023, it will be Memorial Day.
5. The last day to use it is June 6, 2023.
6. The last day to drop out of Spring Term is June 6, 2023.
7. On June 19, 2023, it will be Juneteenth.
8. Spring 2023’s last day of class is June 20, 2023.
9. Date to Withdraw: June 20, 2023 (Full Semester).
10. The day to study for an exam is June 21, 2023.
11. The day of the final exam is June 22–23, 2023.
12. The due date for Spring Term grades is June 28, 2023.
13. On July 3, 2023, you can check your Spring Term grade online.

BYU academic calendar summer term 2022

From June 21 to August 12, 2022, the BYU Summer term will be in session.

1. From June 17 to June 18, 2022, there will be Orientation for new students.
2. 20 June 2022 is Juneteenth.
3. The first day of summer school in 2022 will be June 21.
4. The last day to add or drop summer classes is June 28, 2022.
5. July 4, 2022, is Independence Day.
6. July 24, 2022, is Pioneer Day.

8. The last day to drop out of the second term or summer term is July 27, 2022.
9. Classes end on August 9 2022.
10. The day to study for an exam is August 10, 2022.
11. The date of the last exam is August 11–12, 2022.
12. Summer school is over on August 12, 2022.
13. Education Week is from August 15 to August 19 in 2022.
14. Summer Term Grades Due date is August 18, 2022.
15. Summer Term Grades Online – August 22, 2022.
