The Excellence Scholarship awardees are eligible for a 500 EUR semester discount and a 1000 EUR annual discount.
The following requirements must be met in order for the recipients of the Excellence Scholarship to be eligible for the discount during the remainder of their studies:
- Outstanding study performance
- As in the second semester, they do a 60-hour internship per semester at one of METU’s administrative offices. The duties could involve planning student events, participating in higher education fairs, or performing sales and marketing responsibilities.

Eligibility Criteria for Budapest Metropolitan University Scholarships

The following requirements must be satisfied by applicants in order to be eligible for Budapest Metropolitan University Scholarships:

Eligible Countries: All World Countries

Applicants showing particular academic excellence /Bachelor’s level/:

English level min. C1
Excellent performance during the application process’ Skype interview.
If a math test is required, the applicant must score at least 80%.
For art and design programs, the professors should give the design portfolio a high ranking (minimum 30/35).
High-school GPA and grades min. 80% e.g.:
SAT 1280/1600
IB 6/7
Cambridge IGCSE min. 2 A or 4 AS levels.
We also accept high school diplomas from any other country or region, but the GPA must always be greater than 80%.

Applicants showing particular academic excellence /Master’s level/:

English level min. C1.
Excellent performance during the application process’ Skype interview.
For art and design programs, the professors should give the design portfolio a high ranking (minimum 30/35).
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum first class and an overall GPA of 80%, if available from your prior school.
The Admission Committee will make the final determination about the distribution of the scholarships.
30 students can receive scholarships at most.
