The recipients of Birkbeck International Scholarships receive the following award amounts:

- £2000 (tuition fee-only, first year only)
- £1500 (tuition fee-only, first year only)

Note: General terms and conditions: No full scholarships may be offered concurrently with a scholarship (e.g. Chevening). The non-refundable £2000 deposit must be paid in full within two weeks after being chosen for the scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet all of the standards listed below in order to be eligible for Birkbeck International Scholarships:
- Required Language: English
- Eligible Countries: Africa (Sub-Saharan) Asia (Central Asia, South Asia, South East Asia and East Asia), the Caribbean, Latin America and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa).
- You have an unconditional offer from Birkbeck to enroll in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate taught program beginning in the autumn of 2022 as an international abroad tuition-paying student. To be eligible, you must have been determined to be an international fee payer.
- You typically dwell in one of the nations in the relevant region.
- You are self-supporting
- You are a “International” student who pays tuition.
- The scholarship is often not offered in conjunction with any other scholarship and is limited to one grant per student.

- You must be a resident of one of the following countries and be that country’s national: Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macau SAR, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam.
- Application form for those ordinarily residing in the Middle East/North Africa
- You must be a resident of one of the following countries and be that country’s national: Turkey, UAE, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Bahrain, Kuwait, Tunisia.

- You must be a citizen of Canada or the United States and reside there.

- With the exception of Brazil, you must be a citizen of and a resident of a country in Latin America or the Caribbean. You can be qualified for the Birkbeck Global Future Scholarship if you are a citizen of Brazil (see above).

(4) You will receive an email notifying you of the results of your application for this scholarship. A non-refundable deposit of £200 must be paid in full within the time range specified in your award letter (typically five working days).
(5) To be eligible for the grant, you must successfully enrol for the Autumn 2022 intake no later than 8 October 2022.
