ASU Academic Calendar 2022-2023: Important Dates and Deadlines

ASU academic calendar fall 2022

The Fall semester at ASU will begin on August 18, 2022, and end on December 10, 2022. The important dates and deadlines for the fall semester of 2022 at ASU are listed below.

1. On February 21, 2022, you will be able to see the schedule for Classes.
2. Registration starts on February 24, 2022, for ASU students who attend classes in person, and on February 25, 2022, for ASU students who take classes online.
3. $50.00 The Late Registration Fee starts on August 10, 2022 for Session A and Session C, and on October 4, 2022 for Session B. It does not apply to ASU Online students.
4. First-year students at the University of Arizona and Arizona State University can move in from August 11 to 15, 2022. (Freshmen). Students in the Upper Division will move in from August 16 to August 18 of 2022. If you will arrive after 5 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2022, you must let University Housing know by email from your @asu.edu email account before August 6, 2022. The ASU academic calendar for 2022-2023 says that the first week of classes for freshmen (Fall 2022) will depend on where on campus they live.
5. Fall classes at ASU start on August 18, 2022 for Sessions A and C, and on October 12, 2022 for Session B. The first day of the fall semester at ASU in 2022.
6. The last day to pay tuition fees is August 25, 2022. Check the student portal for My ASU.
7. On August 29, 2022, the ASU Payment Plan will be signed up for automatically.
8. Session A ends on August 19, 2022, Session C on August 24, 2022, and Session B on October 13, 2022 if you don’t have permission from the College.
9. The deadline to file a petition for residency status is August 24, 2022.
10. The last day to get a full refund on tuition and fees for Session A is August 24, 2022, for Session B it’s October 18, 2022, and for Session C it’s August 31, 2022.
11. The holiday is on September 5, 2022. No classes.
12. University 21st Day is on September 7, 2022, for Sessions A and C, and on November 1, 2022, for Session B.
13. On the ASU academic calendar for 2022-2023, October 1, 2022 is University 45th Day.
14. Applying to graduate from ASU in 2022 must be done by October 3, 2022.
15. From October 8 to October 11, 2022, ASU will be on fall break.
16. The last day to drop a course for Session A is September 7, 2022, for Session B it’s November 1, and for Session C it’s November 2.
17. The date of Veterans Day in 2022 is November 11. No Classes/University is closed.
18. From November 24 to November 25, 2022, ASU will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.
19. Complete Session Withdrawal deadline for Session A is October 7, 2022, and for Sessions B and C, it’s December 2, 2022.
20. Fall classes at ASU end for Session A on October 7, 2022, and for Sessions B and C on December 2, 2022.
21. For Session C, the last exams will be given from December 5 to December 10, 2022.
22. Final grades are due for Session A on October 10, 2022, and for Sessions B and C from December 5 to 12, 2022.
23. The date for both graduate and undergraduate degrees to be given out by ASU is December 12, 2022.
24. The Christmas break for ASU in 2022 will be from December 23 to December 26, 2022. No classes/University is closed.

ASU academic calendar spring 2023

The 2022 spring semester at ASU will run from January 10 to May 7, 2022. Here are the important dates and deadlines on the academic calendar for the spring semester of 2022 at Arizona State University.

1. The class schedule for Spring 2023 at ASU will be available on September 20, 2022. (tentative).
2. Registration for Spring 2023 will start on September 27, 2022, for ASU Online students, and on October 17, 2022 (tentatively) for ASU students who attend classes in person.
3. $50.00 The Late Registration Fee starts on January 2, 2023 for Session A and Session C, but not for ASU Online students. It starts on March 5, 2023 for Session B.
4. Session A and C classes at ASU start on January 9, 2023, and Session C classes start on March 13, 2023.
5. On January 10, 2023 for Session A, January 15, 2023 for Session C, and March 14, 2023 for Session B, you can register or drop/add classes without College permission.
6. The deadline to file a petition for residency classification is January 15, 2023.
7. Tuition and fees are paid in full. Session A has a refund deadline of January 15, 2023, Session B’s is March 19, 2023, and Session C’s is January 22, 2023.
8. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ASU’s academic calendar for 2023 says that the holiday is on January 16, 2023.
9. The last day to pay tuition fees is January 25, 2023.
10. On January 27, 2023, the ASU Payment Plan will be signed up for automatically. Students who registered by 1/18/23 and have unpaid tuition or other charges that can be paid through the ASU Payment Plan will be automatically added to the plan.
11. University 21st Day is on January 30, 2023, for Sessions A and C, and April 3, 2023, for Session B.
12. Applying to graduate by February 15, 2022, is the last day to do so.
13. On the ASU academic calendar for 2022-2023, University 45th Day is on February 15, 2023.
14. From Sunday, March 5, 2023, to Sunday, March 12, 2023, ASU will be on Spring Break. ASU Spring break 2023 is a week (8 days) long.
15. The last day to drop a course for Session A is January 27, 2023, for Session B it’s March 31, and for Session C it’s April 2.
16. Complete Session Withdrawal deadlines for Sessions A, B, and C are February 28, 2023, and April 28, 2023, respectively.
17. Spring classes at ASU end for Session A on February 28, 2023, and for Sessions B and C on April 28, 2023.
18. Final exams for Spring 2023 take place on the last day of classes for Sessions A and B and from May 1 to May 6 for Session C.
19. Final grades are due for Session A on March 3, 2023, and for Sessions B and C from May 1 to May 8, 2023.
20. On May 8, 2023, both graduate and undergraduate students will graduate from ASU. It is the date when the degree is given.
