On the University of North Georgia campus, UNG email is the only formal form of communication. In order to deliver you email and the rest of the O365 suite, UNG has teamed with Microsoft.
Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, and Access web apps are available with the O365 suite.

How to set up ung email on iPhone
- Select the Mail, Contacts, and Calendars option in the Settings app.
- Select Add Account
- Select Exchange
- Email, password, and description should be entered (Name that will appear in your Mailboxes).
- Note: Faculty/Staff > Your username@ung.edu email address will consist of your first initial, middle initial, and last name.
- In the top right corner of the screen, click Next.
- If necessary, change your sync settings and click Save.
- Note: If prompted, enter outlook.office365.com for the server name; if prompted for a domain, leave this field empty. (If the error “Unable to Verify” keeps appearing, type “AD” in the domain field.)
How to set up ung email on your android phone
- Open the Settings app (If you are on a newer version of the Android OS, instead go to your mail app and skip step 2).
- Accounts section > Add Account.
- Select Corporate or Microsoft Exchange Activesync.
- Add your password and FULL email address.

- Note: After completing this step, certain newer Android devices will automatically finish the setup procedure. If so, steps 5-7 are not required to be finished.
- If the option for Manual Setup is presented, select Manual Setup by clicking Next.
- In the “Domain\username” field, enter \EMAIL ADDRESS
- Server – outlook.office365.com.
- Click Next.
- Remove all defaults and give this account a name (ex. School or UNG).
How to connect ung email with gmail app
The Android smartphone must have Exchange Services installed and Gmail Version 5.0 or higher in order to utilise Gmail with the UNG email system. Your gadget could not work since certain manufacturers don’t include Exchange Services with their products.
- Open the menu on the left side of the Gmail app. Open the Settings panel.
- Select Add Account, then select either Corporate or Exchange.
- If neither of these choices is available, it signifies that the necessary Exchange Services are not installed on your device.

- Select your preferred Sync settings, such as frequency and sync duration. Upon clicking next, activate Gmail as a Device Administrator.

How do I sync my UNG email to my mobile device?
Go to the Settings app on your mobile device and add your UNG email. Find the “Add Account” button (This varies depending on the device). Choose either a “Corporate” or “Exchange” account. How do I change my password?
Account passwords can be modified and reset through the UNG Password Portal. This will be used if your account password expires as well as in the event that you lose or forget your password.
You can update your account password and reactivate an expired account using the Change/Expired Password option. If you can’t remember your account password, you may reset it by clicking the Forgot Password link.
Enrollment in the Password Management services is necessary in order to use the Forgot Password option. You should use the Password Portal’s Enroll in Password Management option to sign up for password management.
What is myUNG?
Students can access practically all online materials through myUNG. You can access my.ung.edu directly or find a link to it in the Quicklinks section at the upper right of the UNG website.
How do I activate my UNG account?
You must alter the default password from the one provided by Information Technology before you may activate your UNG Network ID. Visit the Account Activation Portal for help with this procedure.
What is UNG banner web?
For UNG, an enterprise reporting system is called Banner Web. Student, staff, professor, and alumni information and data are kept and recorded by Banner. An integrated system called Banner has data on all UNG affiliates. This pertains to admissions, aid, registration, payments, and academic records for students.
